Coaches! On behalf of the parents and players of the Stanwood Camano Youth Soccer Club, I'd like to thank you for volunteering your time and efforts in the name of soccer for Fall 2008 Youth Recreational Soccer. The following is a summary of things that you'll need to be aware of as a coach. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact a Board Member.

Practice Time/Location
Practice times and location are determined by the coach.  Fields should be reserved through our Field Coordinator.

Micro teams (U6 - U8) typically practice at Heritage Park.  Practice equipment is available on site.  Combinations for the equipment storage locker can be obtained from the Equipment Coordinator, Ken McCaughan.  Ken can be reached by email (kenmcc@firehousemail.com) or via phone at (360) 629-4329.

Rec teams (U9 and older) can practice at any location as set by the coach.  Fields should be reserved with our Field Coordinator.  Please note that practice schedules are maintained for Heritage Park, Cedarhome Elementary, Stanwood Elementary, Twin City Elementary and Port Susan Middle School.  We do not schedule practices for Camano Island fields.  There is plenty of green around Stanwood and Camano Island.  Please work together!

Field Layouts

Micro teams should practice at least once a week and Rec teams (U9 and older) at least twice a week.

Equipment
Rec teams (U9 and older) should have an SCYSC provided equipment bag.  If you need an eqiupment bag, please contact our Equipment Coordinator, Ken McCaughan.  Ken can be reached by email (kenmcc@firehousemail.com) or via phone at (360) 629-4329.

Uniforms
Micro players (U6-U8) will be provided a jersey which is theirs to keep.  Uniforms are being ordered through Score uniforms and should be available for distribution by the end of August.  Coaches will be notified when the uniforms are available.

Rec players (U9 and older) will be provided a jersey, shorts and socks.

Game Schedules
Game schedules will be posted to the website as soon as they have been finalized.  All Micro games will be held at Heritage Park on Saturday mornings.

Risk Managment, Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Managers
Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Managers should register online.  By registering online, we are ensured that each person in contact with the players has gone through a Washington State Patrol background check.  This helps us keep our kids safe...  Please ensure that your volunteers are registered.
